About Me

I am a fully qualified counsellor, and a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I am committed to working in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework.

I offer a safe, confidential and welcoming space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings. I will accept you non-judgementally as the unique individual that you are, and ensure that you feel you are heard and understood.

My Approach

I am an integrative counsellor: my initial training was in the psychodynamic model but I bring in concepts from other models to adapt to the particular needs of each client.

I believe that we all possess the resources to work through our problems, but at times these can become hidden and feel out of reach. My aim is to help you identify what you need and re-connect with your own resources.

I offer both long- and short-term counselling: during our initial session, we would discuss what would be most suitable for you. Sessions are usually weekly.

In addition, I regularly undertake additional training (continuing professional development) to enhance what I can offer to my clients.

I have experience of working with a wide range of issues in my private practice. I have undertaken extra training in trauma and I am an Associate Counsellor at Choices, a charity which offers counselling to adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse.
